Clindamycin IP Injection refers to a dose of medicine used to treat certain types of bacterial infections in the blood, bones, joints, female reproductive organs, lungs, skin and internal organs. It is commonly used for intramuscular and intravenous use and contains clindamycin phosphate, a water-soluble ester of clindamycin and phosphoric acid. Clindamycin injection helps in slowing or stopping the growth of bacteria in septicemia, intra-abdominal infections, lower respiratory infections, gynaecological infections, and skin and skin structure infections. Clindamycin IP Injection is injected intravenously (into a vein) over a period of 10 to 40 minutes.
